Essence of Christmas

Essence of Christmas

To me, I am so excited when Christmas is getting closer. Christmas means a time of happiness towards everyone. It is a time when families and close friends come home from all over the world to be with the people they love. Christmas brings happiness to everyone. Christmas time is my favourite time of the year. I love when it’s time to shop for all those gifts to everyone.

But most of all, I love this time of the year because I get the chance to be with my family and friends while I enjoy everyone’s Christmas cheer during this wonderful time of the year. It is also the time to forgive each other. Love each other and make peace on this world

In my 16 years of existence in life, here comes Christmas again! Many things we do in this season, many people are busy. Christmas is the birth of saviour Jesus Christ. It is the most important and most awaited event in the year

Climate Change

 Climate Change

Climate has changed through earth’s history, regulated naturally by a combination of orbital forces that determine how much sun hits the earth as well as the total concentration of different natural gases in the atmosphere. These natural processes are still occurring today, but humans started altering the balance of gases in the atmosphere, primarily by emitting a lot of more Carbon Dioxide due to burning fossils fuels like oil and gas.

Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas, which means it because the atmosphere to reduce the amount of heat that can escape into space after the earth’s surface is warmed by the sun. Because of the foolishness of some people, many Filipinos suffered from hunger and traumatize because some lost their loved ones.

Let us protect the environment and will defeat and shield us from the coming catastrophes. SAVE THE MOTHER EARTH! SAVE OUR MOTHER EARTH! In simply disciplining our own self can greatly help to improve our environment

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

 Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Every one of us has the opportunity and rights. Opportunity is a good chance for advancements or progress to the one’s life.

Women and men should be equal in our community. If men have the right to be a part of the politics, women should also have the right to be a part of the politics. Now days there are works that women can do that man who are the one who have rights to work for this job. In our life people should respect whatever kind of life, rich or poor should be respected by anyone. Today is generation    in applying work to a company, if you have no relative or friend in the company, it’s hard to hire for a job but if you have a relative or friend in that company it is easy for you to find a job, but that is not good. Managers should also look first their performance before getting their workers.

So in this little ways, we have the so called equal rights and equal opportunities.

Going global through English Language

Going global through English Language

Language plays and important role in human life. Out of all the languages in the world, English considered as the International Language. A language lives in society so long as people speak it and use it as their native tongue. A language is important because the people who speak it are important, politically, socially, commercially, economically and culturally.

This language is used in everyday life at home, in the market, in the office, at school etc. We need to know English language in order to study any science or any computer language. We need to know English to communicate effectively too many developed countries. English is very much important in our life. People take pride in speaking English. If we don’t know English, we will leg behind the other. Language is always very important, because it is the means of communication.

Reflection

My Reflection

Another grading period has about to end. We had already gone through four months, meaning we had gone half of our whole school year. All I can say is that it has been a busy grading period because we have a lot of requirements we should be pass on time yet very enjoyable.

This coming Third Grading Period, I have become a lot better than last grading because Mrs Evelyn Vera Cruz, our very kind teacher in ICT taught us many different kinds of tags. We also posted our posts on blogger and we had different posts that are really interesting.

Moving on, I will strive harder and I will be more confident. I will start the next grading period with more confident. I will continue discovering new things.

My Teacher, M y Hero

"My Teacher, M y Hero"

In my 16 years of existence in life, other than my parents, they are the one who thought me that nothing is impossible if I just believe in it that's them, My Teacher My Hero. They are the one who thought me to be strong in times of failures and never give up the things I wanted most in my life, my dreams. There is one phrase, given by my teacher when I was in elementary that I will never forget to "Keep looking forward", that phrase encourage me all the time and reminds me to continue looking forward whatever might happen and will happen to me. I am very proud to all teachers.

They are a very good speaker, listener and adviser. All students are inspired because of the kindness of all teachers. I am very thankful having my teachers, because of them I am enlightened to do the job what I must do and be responsible every time. For me, the word teacher stands for the one who Teach us, Encourage us, Care for us, Inspire us, Help us, Enhance us and Reminds us who we are and what we are. They have the ability to make us a better person.

I will never forget my teachers who are my second parent. Who did efforts for me to gain knowledge; they are the one who has been my guide for so many years, the one who scolds and corrects me when I am doing wrong and the one who appreciates my efforts. They never give up and they never stop to fill us knowledge. They always are my hero for life and for all that efforts and sacrifices that they've done for us.

Happy Teachers Day to all Teachers in the whole world! God bless you all Ma'am/Sir and we love you so much! Thank you for everything.

Change The World

        Change the World

Biodiversity is the variety of life on earth. It is essential for sustaining the natural living creatures with food, shelter and other things for survival. Humans are part of this biodiversity too and they have the power to protect or destroy it. Currently, our activities are destroying biodiversity at an alarming rate. These losses are irreversible, causing damages to life support system we rely on.

The environment is our nature, all it encompasses play vital and huge role in our daily lives. It has everything humans needed and depend on for our physical survival. Every little thing is provided by it and the natural world around us such as fresh air, food, water, materials for our shelter and even environmental cycles. People in the present have almost disconnected us from the natural environment. It is merely easy and convenient for us to forget it, which however remains giving and providing us as ever as it vanishes bit by bit. Maybe because, technology and industry become more and more evident to us that our natural environment becomes sp foreign as we saw in the television, newspapers or may have heard from our radios that there are rampant of disasters that are happening now a days that can greatly destroy our world and may affect our lives as well.

Let us protect the environment and it will defeat and shield us from the coming catastrophes. SAVE OUR MOTHER EARTH! In simply disciplining our own self can greatly help to improve our economy or our environment. One of the best ways is the proper waste disposal as we are doing now in our school "Paaralan Ko Linis Ko" and even in our house. What we are waiting for? Let us change and do something! Change for the Better!

My Guardian Hero

   My Guardian Hero

It has been said that heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary. Overtime, there have been several people who have influenced various aspects of my life, based on their personal characteristics, accomplishments, and values. I have been teachers who I respect for their patience and intelligence. Of all people I have encountered in my life, the person I admire the most is my Tita. She always supports us in whatever we are involved in. Whenever I feel like giving up, or have a question or concern, I know I can call on her for advice.

Her strength seems to be unbreakable during hard times; I have always admired her open mind, compassion and sense of understanding. She is a very reserved woman but has a great sense of humour, and always knows how to put a smile on my face. She is not a world famous or a multimillionaire, but she is very important in my life. I really admire her because of her personality and for all she has done for me in my life. She has many positive character traits, firstly she has a lot of friends, and secondly, she is a helpful and loving tita ever. I can always rely on her if I am having a bad day she is always there to help make it better. Hard work was part of her life, but still she is smiling all the time I've seen her. Her life can be a good example of a person who has suffered a lot, but never asked for help as asking for help was symbol of weakness for her.

My tita is a person who taught me how to live life in without feeling helpless and pride. I have learned from her that problems and suffering are part of a life. I always pray that God will always there for us. I love her so much and she always admired me.

Love our own Language

Love our own Language

Language is always tied up to one's culture and, of course, his identity. However, the Filipinos cannot even speak anymore of cultural identity, with some social scientists even talking of a "damaged culture”. Even if English is becoming to be the world's dominant language, it is still necessary for the Filipinos to speak their national language or their regional language. After all, it is the only language that can really, in essence, capture the feelings and sentiments of the people, and can represent their true spirit as Filipinos. Also, language can help promote unity within the country and develop a sense of belongingness.

It is admitted that by knowing English, thousands of Filipinos have found jobs abroad. But, most of these works subject Filipinos to servitude to foreigners as domestic helpers, care-givers and nurses. Is this the Philippines' idea of competitiveness? True competition is when the Filipinos become capitalists, entrepreneurs, traders, school owners, building contractors, and exporters of Philippine goods in other countries.

The Philippines' national hero, Jose Rizal, expressed the utmost importance of loving one's country through loving one's language, among others. He wrote in Filipino: "Ang di marunong magmahal sa sariling wika, ay mas masahol pa sa malansang isda." He said that it is difficult to consider one as a nationalist if he was ashamed of his own language. This is an important matter for one who does not give value to his native language, whether national or regional, to be aware of. It is sad to note that, in today's times, there are many Filipinos who admire their countrymen who are very good in speaking the English language but consider those not good in English as not as intelligent or not as knowledgeable as the others.

Yes, it is important for the Filipinos to be able to communicate very well in English. But, everyone who thinks of himself as Filipino has also the responsibility to love the country of his birth and, naturally, his own language. It is only in their language that the Filipinos are able to distinguish themselves from other peoples of Asia, especially now that it is already possible to change the color of the skin and the shape and features of the face. In a sense, it is only the language that seems to be the remaining link to the Filipino spirit and his potential towards a lasting national identity.

A Captured Moment

A Captured Moment

It is always nostalgic to think of the past life especially our school days. My school days experiences are also one of the most memorable phases of my life. When I look back at those days smile automatically comes on my face. I don't really know whether that smile is the expression of good experiences or bad experiences. But, I can certainly tell you that whatever it is I like the way I see myself as. No one in this world is completely happy but intensity of happiness may vary from person to person. This was the point of realization that always enforced me to face the challenges during my school days.

The learning or discoveries that I have gained on my ICT subject was about computer. And computer is all about communicating, informing and many more. Learning about computer is knowledgeable, gaining many lessons and topics involving about computer.

But sometimes, I can encounter some problem or challenges about studying computer. Because what I know, it can destroy the sense of sight. It can easily make me addicted by using the computer always.

Furthermore I address this challenge by not totally making it as may hobby. I will entertain myself not to use the computer always. And I will obtain tasks in addressing this challenge.

Moving on I will improve how to make or how to manage the given challenges on my ICT subject.

A positive and promising report on progress

“A positive and promising report on progress”

This is what I have to say. Were we satisfied with the President’s performance? Are we? Will we ever be? Was there ever a perfect President? Was there any era that we never complained about the administration? We were not, and will never be satisfied with the President’s performance. We are never content because we always ask for more. We always expect for more. We demand for more. And it is easier to complain than appreciate.

Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III is not a perfect President, but at least we have a Good one. At last! He has been working hard. Let’s value. There are things he cannot do and let’s help him. Let’s do it with him. John F. Kennedy once said “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” If we’re not satisfied, let’s move, let’s work NOW. Let’s not waste time by just complaining. Go for productivity. Be an asset not a liability; let’s not always use our mouth. Let’s work hand in hand. Back to back. Two or more heads are better than one.

Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama nating wakasan

Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama nating wakasan

This cause aims to reduce hunger and poverty suffering by poor community not only in the Philippines and in the whole world. Designing Programs/Projects that elevate Hunger and Poverty. The Major cause of our nation’s poverty and hunger is corruption. Hence, to seriously address poverty and hunger. The world hunger problem is perhaps the oldest of all the global problems of mankind. Hunger is an extreme manifestation.

I would like to point out that hunger is not only a threat to human health and life, but also a serious problem of falling educational level, productivity, which leads to a decline in the whole economy. Malnutrition leads to single deaths. However, malnutrition is the cause of many deaths, since malnourished people do not get enough to eat, that does not allow their body to resist disease.

The world produces not enough food. The planet produces enough food to provide everyone, including meat, vegetables, fruits, fish and other products. The problem is that people are too poor to buy their own food. Many of the "starving" countries have sufficient stocks of agricultural products and even export them. It is impossible to feed so many hungry people. Despite the fact that rapid population growth in the third world countries is a serious problem, never and nowhere population growth does not lead to famine. Hunger is caused by social and economic inequality: the rapid population growth is dangerous only to states where there are public and social mechanisms to ensure that a majority of the country's people have access to education, medicine, employment, social security systems, etc.
The problem of hunger can solve the "Green Revolution". The "Green Revolution", which implies in particular the appearance on the fields of new plants (hybrids and genetically modified organisms), massive use of fertilizers, new methods of cultivation, etc., certainly helps to fight hunger. However, focusing only on increasing agricultural production does not solve this problem.

I am convinced that one day we will succeed and that overcoming hunger and malnutrition will end in success.

Letter to the President

                                                               Ilocos Sur National High School
Gomez St. Brgy. VII, Vigan City
                                                                June 25 , 2013

Dear Mr. President,

Greeting you a pleasant day and hoping that you are in a good condition right now.

Being a leader is one of the most hardest thing that a person can do especially to you our beloved president. We all know that a leader is the person who is in control of it or in charge of it. Allow me to extend my congratulations to you on your victory.

Now this is the time to make good on your promises and do something. I know that you have a good heart and good intentions when you ran for the presidency. However, good heart and good intentions alone does not necessarily make an effective leader. I may not have voted you because I am not officially in the right age to vote but since you're still going to be my president. I will support you and in return, I am expecting a lot from you.

I know that it is very hard for you to lead a millions of people but I believe that you can do it for the sake of our country. Keep helping us in progressing our country, especially to us students. Be a man that your parents wanted you to be. Be an inspiration to everyone. Be active and strive to make our nation great. It is not enough that you had the right slogan that carried you through the campaign. Be the walking slogan, Mr. President. Because when it comes to getting things things done, saying the thought aloud is not a worth. Now is the time to start turning things over with sweat, with force and with determination. I am not expecting you to change the country because no one man can do that. But I do expect to collectively make that change. Please inspire the Filipino People. Inspire Us.

You face a daunting task ahead of you Mr.President. Our country is sick, our nation is flawed, our culture is diverse. So please heal the sickness, accept the flaws and embrace the diversity. Please try to make the effort. Consider each and every Filipino your own family now. And as head of that family, point us in the right direction and show us the right way.

Reforms needed to wipe out corruption in our country. Never forget those who believed in you that’s all Mr. President. Thank you for the time you spent on reading my letter. :)))

                                                                                                                                                                                                    Respectfully yours ,
                                                                             Aj-Elaine Arcaina
                                                                             (IV-Bonifacio)
